In 2015, a dental colleague asked me to assist his practice with accreditation. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed the process! My colleague encouraged me to reach out to other dental practitioners and practices as they might also be looking for help. I had been thinking about re-entering the dental industry without necessarily going back ‘on-the-tools’ and here was the perfect answer!
Following this revelation, I combined my experience in dentistry, training and compliance (not to mention my love of regulations, order and paperwork), and created my business, Amalgamate.
After a couple of years, I realised that my infection prevention and control (IPC) knowledge was a bit lacking, consequently I bit the bullet and returned to University to complete post-graduate study in IPC in 2018.
